Great to have the opportunity to present to the WISA Wine Industry Impact Conference yesterday. Keynotes from Felicity Carter (Business of Drinks) on global wine trends and selling wine in the age of sobriety and Pia Piggott’s (Rabobank) presentation on oversupply were key insights into what our sector will be dealing with over the next few years and beyond.
My presentation focused on Strategic Transitions: Planning for a Prosperous Exit. Yes, there are many challenges in our sector right now, but there are also successes. And when it comes to succession and selling your business the common trait of those that succeed is planning effectively, dealing with their problems before they sell, and taking the time to get their house in order.
