Stephen has been surrounded by wine and vines his whole life, growing up on a vineyard in South Australia, advising the Australian Government on wine and agribusiness policy and as chief executive of the Australian wine sector’s peak national strategy and advocacy organisation, the Winemakers’ Federation of Australia.

Joining Langley & Co Advisors in 2011, Stephen works with corporates and family businesses on divestments and acquisitions. A skilled negotiator and pragmatic strategist, Stephen is skilled in business planning and has governance and board knowledge.

His breadth and depth of experience has been formed by a long career in the Australian wine industry. He spent more than a decade at the Winemakers’ Federation of Australia, including eight years as Chief Executive. In this role he led on issues as diverse as taxation reform, industry environmental programs, industry restructuring and leadership development.
